If you would like to donate items or volunteer: You can bring items for the yard sale to the Journey Center on Friday, June 24 (10 a.m.-4 p.m.). You can receive a receipt for a tax-deduction, if you wish. We may be able to pick up larger items so please call the Journey Center at 578-2121.

Here is everything you need to know, whether you simply want to donate to help the Journey Center OR you also wish to walk or run with us on at the Human Race event on Saturday morning, April 28, in Santa Rosa.

The Journey Center is celebrating 10 great years in the community! Your gift says “Happy Birthday, Journey Center!”


  • Your donation of any amount is greatly appreciated and will help us reach our goal of raising $15,000 this year

  • If you are able, choose to be one of the “Only a Hundred” group: every year 100 people each give $100 to raise the first $10,000.

  • On Saturday morning, April 28, we will gather at John and Joanna Quintrell’s home (and urban organic farm!), which is adjacent to the starting point for the Human Race event…. rain or shine!

  • Join us at 761 Colorado Blvd., Santa Rosa from 7:00-7:45 a.m. for simple morning foods before the event (homemade raspberry almond and blueberry banana muffins, chicken apple sausages, fruit, tea, coffee and OJ). We will gather here again after the walk/race.

  • We will walk together as a group, along with thousands of others at 8:00 a.m. What a wonderful, positive community experience this is!

Encountering the Holy during Advent: An Invitation to the Contemplative Gifts of the Season (Workshop)

The upcoming season of Advent is an invitation to create space in the busy weeks ahead for encountering the Holy and receive the gifts of joy, peace and hope. This workshop is an introduction to the Advent season and to new ways of approaching it that will enrich your spiritual journey.

Blue Christmas Gathering

Friday, December 4, 6 p.m.-8 p.m.
Why is it that the Holiday Season, a time of joy and celebration, can be a time of grief and sorrow for so many of us? Please join us for a gentle, contemplative Blue Christmas gathering, where we will create a safe space for grief- to speak our sorrow, to share in simple comforting music, to receive a healing Imaginative Prayer experience- so that we might enter the Holiday Season feeling our losses acknowledged and honored, and our hearts thus more peaceful.

Facilitator: Journey Center spiritual directors Linda Albert and Laurie Harman, with Kalia Mussetter of Living Bridges, who serves people at their most vulnerable in our community.
Cost: Free; tea and snacks will be served

Summer Festival: An Evening of the Arts

August 18, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Please join us for a spontaneous evening with the arts featuring local musicians, paintings by Maria Crane and poetry readings.You are welcome to bring your instrument, poetry that you like, and even your dancing shoes! In short, come and bring your creativity as we’ll embark on having fun making collaborative art and music together.

We’ll be serving some appetizers and beverages to round out the evening. RSVP’s are appreciated to help us plan the evening.

Cost: Suggested donation: $5-$15, what you can give.

Advent Reflections: A Candlelight Contemplative Gathering

Sundays on December 2, 9, 16 & 23, 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
During Advent season we will reflect on the themes of waiting, accepting, belonging, and light bearing – as they appeared in the Nativity story and as we experience them today. All are welcome, from all spiritual paths, for this time of seasonal music, contemplative readings, and prayerful meditation. More>

Open House – A Taste of the Journey Center

Join us to celebrate the Journey Center 2.0! We’ll be sharing a tasty meal together and spend some time exploring what’s new at the Journey Center. Journey Center Birthday Celebration: A Decade of Transformation

Sunday, September 16, 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Joins us at The Bishop's Ranch to celebrate the Journey Center's 10th birthday in a fantastic family-friendly setting with games, a decade of stories, homemade dinner and dessert, a fire pit and live music.

The Bishop's Ranch is a beautiful retreat center overlooking the Russian River valley just south of Healdsburg. Throughout the evening we will hear music by Andy Cater, Mike VanDordrecht and the Small Hat Band with Mandy Brooks. There will also be wonderful appetizers, dinner and dessert prepared by the fabulous kitchen at The Bishop's Ranch. Journey Center founders Joanna Quintrell and Dan Beach will be on hand to share a decade of transformation stories, there will be a themed gift-basket raffle and the evening will conclude with S'mores around the fire pit.
